MOSH isn’t your average optical store.

We are a private optical studio that is open by appointment only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins. An appointment assures you get quality time with Sara during your visit along with every bit of her 25+ years of knowledge, style and attention to detail. Your time is valuable and we want you to have the personalized atelier experience you deserve.

If you aren’t sure about which appointment length to book, choose the longer one. Time flies when we’re having fun! Whichever appointment you choose, know that it's bound to be a delightful blend of professionalism and fun.

We are the anti-online store. We believe that an in-person experience ensures the best fitting eyewear, greatest value and the most fun!

Eyewear is all about the millimeters and a superior fit is essential to a stellar looking pair of eyewear. Frames are like a designer suit: if it’s not tailored well, it’s not going to look good regardless of how much it cost.

We’ve got over 25 years of experience and specialized expertise through our framemaking talents. We care about making a long-term relationship with you, not just a one time sale. Your eyewear will require maintenance and servicing throughout their life and you can always count on us for assistance.

We use Shamir, Essilor, Zeiss, Rodenstock, Kodak and Centennial lenses. Our lens products have been carefully researched and tested to help us choose the best one for you. We also have our own on-site lens edging lab and workshop to ensure the best quality work.

We do not. However, we work closely with some great optometrists in the city and are happy to recommend them to you.

You don’t need a prescription to shop for eyewear. We can help you choose a super awesome frame and take all of the detailed measurements we need. Then, once you get your prescription you can email us a copy and we can get lenses started.

Whether you're rocking a ready-to-wear design or creating something made to order, each frame is unique just for you. With over 400 colours, patterns, and personalized finishes, your Mosh frame isn’t just an accessory—it’s a statement. And with every detail, from the bridge fit to the custom engraving, we ensure your Mosh Originals are a perfect blend of style, comfort, and personal flair.

Mosh Tailored frames are Mosh Originals that are tailored to your face.

Imagine a pair of glasses designed just for you, where every detail – from the shape and colour to the finish and fit – is made-to-measure for your perfectly asymmetrical face. After finalizing your custom design, we create a sample for your approval and make any tweaks needed before starting production.

We require in-person viewings and consultations for our Original and Tailored frames. Perhaps a visit to Vancouver is in your future?

Bespoke starts as something that doesn’t exist in the world yet. It is created from your mind, concept, idea, design: it is then “(be)spoken” into reality. Unlike an off-the-rack or made-to-measure custom piece, a bespoke item considers every angle, line and detail through multiple consultations and fittings.

No. Due to their time intensive nature, we are not set up to offer full bespoke services.  

But our MOSHdesigns frame catalogue is quite vast and we are quite sure that you may find something that will work for you. Our custom options are available for you to play with and we think you may find this process gets you what you were perhaps looking for. Book an appointment to come in and see us. Sara truly is an optical wizard and can create an amazing frame for you.

We work exclusively in acetate, however some of our Mosh Originals frames have metal accents.

We are able to recreate an existing MOSHdesigns frame.

We do not offer replicas of non-Mosh frames. But email us a picture; our shape catalogue is vast and we may have something similar. You can also book an appointment to come in and see our options.

Yes.  Contact us with your design and time requirements and we can see if it’s a piece we can make.

We may be able to help you create a prototype.

We are not set up for mass production so you will need to source a manufacturing facility if you want to get into designing a collection to sell wholesale to other retailers. There are 2 large optical trade fairs in the USA called Vision Expo, as well as various other optical fairs around the world that are good for connecting with industry contacts and manufacturing companies.
